I agree that this is a terrible-quality horn. I'm a trumpet player and band director, and this horn is AWFUL. It's very difficult and restrictive to blow through, and almost impossible to get in tune. The valve action is very sticky and slow. Any horn I've experienced, even from other manufacturers, in this similar price range turns out to be junk.
Do yourself and your music student a favor and invest some money in a better quality instrument from a legitimate music store. If you don't know anything about instruments and are looking to purchase, please consult someone who does! |
DO NOT BUY THIS!

| Horrible quality! Each valve had bent springs, and the trumpet is of very low quality. I've been a trumpet player for about twelve years, and have many trumpets. I ordered this as a second trumpet and it's absolutely horrible. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would have. Customer service has yet to respond to my inquiry about returning this. Not even worth $20. Don't order it! |
Great for the money. Good sound, good looks!

| This trumpet was a great deal. It came in a good strong carrying case. The finish on the trumpet is good. Looks like a more expensive instrument that what I paid for. The sound is also very good, especially for the price I paid. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase. |
Horrible Trumpet

This trumpet is of extremely low quality, despite what any other review may say. Most of those reviews are written by non-musicians, likely parents who were looking for a good deal. Granted the instrument is playable, it will seriously constrict the development of a player. This instrument is most likely from china, which in recent years has sent out thousands of low quality instruments at cheap prices. Check out ebay, theres always hundreds of these trumpets under various names such as Laval, Bessler, and Weimer.
Just remember, you get what you pay for. Although even used name-brand student trumpets may cost more, they are of much better quality and can last a lifetime.
Stick to name brands like Bach, Yamaha, Conn, Selmer, King, Kanstul, etc. If you have any doubts, give it a quick search at google. |
