The price of a violin often depends on the make of it as well as the type of it. Many families have long enjoyed playing the violin and so they proudly pass them down to the next generation.

There is a great deal of money to be made though from classic and antique models of violins. Some of the rarest ones are worth millions of dollars and there are a handful of collectors out there ready to pay for them. It is the quality of these early violins along with the hand carved details that make them so valuable.
