I bought this for my 3 year old who is really into making music right now. She loves the clear pink color and after having it for 3 months it is still in good shape, except for the teeth marks she made at the mouth piece from biting down a bit, which doesn't effect the sound. Only problem, is that a 3 year old with a recorder is loud. lol

This was just what my daughter needed for her recorder class at school and she is definitely the coolest 4th grade girl around with a pink recorder!
3 year old loves it

Very sturdy construction and sounds great. Cant beat the price. I thought it was standard practice to include a cleaning stick to help with the spittle, but this did not.

I got 2 of these for my daughters, as instruments go it is inexpensive and since I wasn't sure how interested they were in learning music thought this would be a good place to begin, and I was right. I already know how to read music so I picked up the basics pretty quickly and then was able to teach my daughter the fingering. My youngest quickly lost interest once she found out I wanted her to read the music. My oldest however played for a talent show, which made her really happy. It is good quality as far as an inexpensive models go, I like how it comes apart for easy cleaning, it's portable- my daughter even brought it with her on a girlscout overnight for a little campfire fun. It has been a really good first instrument.
